Necrophor: Verbum vexillifer

08/07/13  ||  Pr0nogo

It seems like a lot of the shit that gets sent to GD is run-of-the-mill, recycled, repetitive, lacking in resonance or meaning, cliche, contrived, or boring. You know, shit we’ve all heard before. I bet K feels the same way – he must check his mail every day and just say to himself, “Nothing new to report here”, because everything in that mailbox is shit we’ve all heard before. Oh, I already said that. Well, I always knew “bad writing article” was a bad idea. The whole reason I brought that up was because Necrophor, a black metal outfit from the corner of I don’t fucking know and no information provided to the reviewer, released a demo called “Verbum Vexillifer“, and not only is it shit we’ve all heard before – it’s criminally shit we’ve all heard before. No, I don’t mean the Chris Brown vs. Rihanna kind of criminal, I mean that this is the fucking dictionary definition of ‘my basement is trve cvlt 4 the indvstry’ black metal. Simple, monotonous guitars backing simple, monotonous vocals with simple, monotonous drumming results in a big ass whoopdie-fuckin-doo NOTHING SPECIAL from the reviewer. I don’t give a fuck about your mediocre and uninspired music, so go put corpse paint on your eyelids and blink away the pain. Buttholes.

5/10: You’re right. That Chris Brown comment was uncalled for.
